DYEA-2009 is a unique program. DYEA gave me an extraordinary chance to understand the principle of sustainability in a dynamic world. With the great educational and field trip experiences, DYEA inspire me to be creative thinking about local, regional, and global on sustainable development issue. I learned how to enjoy nature, love nature and protect the nature and I realize even more that: I must be the change that I wish to see in the world.

I have always been dreaming of someday I could climb mount Fuji - the symbol of Japan.
I have been nurturing a hope to meet my Japanese friends in their country.
I have long been waiting for a chance to wear Kimono for once in my life...
DYEA made all these dreams come true and much more than that. Never in my life have I become that close to the nature: feel it, enjoy it and come to realize the significance of it. Living in a wooden house in the middle of a vast grassland with spectacular Fuji-san in front of us; having lunch at the height of 2900m on Mt Fuji; drinking the water directly from Lake Biwa - the largest freshwater lake in Japan - all of that still seem like a dream for me! DYEA is not only a great school where we could learn about the nature, share environmental issues but also a big international family for all the participants. In that family there's laugh, there's smile, there's even tear but it doesn't matter since there's love, there's care and there's share as well. I myself feel honored to be a part of this family and I will keep all the unforgettable memories in my heart for life.

Climbing Mt.Fuji, catching amago fish, discovering the miracle of Biwa Lake, experiencing homestay in Yuno area, learning about CSR of DENSO Corporation - these main activities during 2 weeks were really amazingly impressive. Never before have we felt so close to the nature and learnt many interesting environmental lessons. Personally, what impressed me the most is the time staying in Shinjisan's house. Despite of his age, Shinjisan still keeps strong motivation to pursue his dream of conservation of nature and culture and inspires others with his life stories. "Enjoy - Like - Love - Protect" - the lesson is simple but meaningful. Once we feel respectful for nature and understand the necessity of protecting environment, we will do it naturally without any enforcement. Besides, friendship is invaluable present for me during the program. 25 members of different background and unique characteristics from 7 countries enjoyed time sharing information, discovering beautiful Japan nature, eating, chatting, playing, singing, shopping...together - We are really an international family!!! All sweet memories are still in my mind and how lucky I am to have such "sugoii" brothers and sisters. Until now, I am still feel DYEA lovesick after the forum in December but we believe that we will meet again someday as the world is so small.

It was very special opportunity for me. I thought I want to do something to solve environmental problems but I don't know how to do. Through DYEA, I learned a simple but humanistic rule: enjoying the nature and when you love nature, you can know how to save the nature. And also, all the participants and staffs are always there, behind me. I was encouraged by all their enthusiasm and knowledge and felt very happy to talk more, listen more and cooperate in the future for a better world.
By a lot of stories from Japanese people we met, by making and presenting Action plan during DYEA, I realized that the best way to make your intention into practice is to try thinking from different points of views from others and then cooperate with them. You could not do alone, you should not be alone.
